Deb brings much experience to Sweet Adelines. Deb graduated from Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Music Education, received her master’s degree in education from Wright State University (WSU), and was a secondary choral director for thirty-one years, consistently receiving superior ratings with her choirs in state competitions. She is nearly a 40-year member of the Gem City Chorus of Sweet Adelines, and earned two international gold medals. For the past thirty years she has served Gem City as a section leader, assistant & associate director and as a member of the visual and creative teams. Besides the chorus, she has sung tenor in a variety of quartets. Deb has been a member of the Region 4 faculty for the past twenty years and is a certified director. For the past fifteen years, she has coached regional quartets and choruses in addition to giving Personal Vocal Instruction (PVI’s). She is presently serving on the Harmony Heartland Region 4 Regional Management Team as Director's Coordinator.

Currently, Deb is an Ohio Musical Education Association (OMEA) adjudicator and a highly sought after clinician and guest conductor. In the past, she has served OMEA as President of District XI and on various state committees. On occasion Deb supervises music education student teachers at the University of Dayton (UD).

In addition to her passion for music education and Sweet Adelines, Deb enjoys travelling, sports, photography and genealogy.
